Rescued by NYPD harbor patrol, he is taken to Bellevue
A man was pulled from the Hudson River near Pier 25 in Tribeca Sunday afternoon shortly before 2 p.m. Police said he took off his pants before jumping in the water. Officers aboard an NYPD harbor patrol boat tossed a life ring to the man, who was still conscious when he was pulled up, police said.
The man was treated as mentally disturbed and taken to Bellevue Hospital for observation, according to police.
