Starts on the Brooklyn Bridge
The 23rd annual Poetry Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge [1] begins at 6:00 p.m., Monday, June 11 [1], on the Manhattan side of the bridge. The walk, a benefit for Poets House, supports its programs and services, most of which are free to the public.
Along the walk and at a dinner that follows, there will be readings by poets Sophie Cabot Black, Tina Chang, Willie Perdomo, Patricia Smith, and Yanyi, as well as special guest Bill Murray. Dinner will be held in a historic foundrey in Brooklyn.
Tickets begin at $300; $275 for Poets House members. Reservations are required.
