The Impact Center for Public Interest Law Presents
Wrongful Convictions Panel
With Author Ken Klonsky
Monday, October 16, at 5:30 p.m.
New York Law School’s [1] Impact Center for Public Interest Law cordially invites you to attend a panel discussion [2] with author Ken Klonsky [3]. Klonsky will discuss his book on the exoneration of David McCallum, Freeing David McCallum: The Last Miracle of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter. Panelists include former New York Law School Professor Oscar Michelen and exonerees David McCallum and Calvin Buari.
For 10 years before Rubin “Hurricane” Carter’s death, he and his friend and coauthor Ken Klonsky had been working to help free another wrongfully convicted man, David McCallum. McCallum was eventually exonerated and freed after serving 29 years in prison. The book tells the story of how Carter and Klonsky, along with a group of committed friends and professionals, managed to secure McCallum’s release.
