Taste of the Seaport returns Sat., Sept. 23, its 13th consecutive year, with food and beverage offerings from more than 40 restaurants and businesses, plus family-friendly entertainment and a KidZone. Tickets: $55 until Sept. 15; $65 thereafter, with 4-pack discounts available. The event, on Piers 16 and 17 from 12 to 5pm, raises funds for cultural enrichment programs at the Spruce Street and Peck Slip School as well as professional development programs for teachers.

“Black Exhaustion” Works by printmaker Noel W Anderson, goes on display from Sept. 6 to Dec. 2 at the Borough of Manhattan College’s Shirley Fiterman Art Gallery. Anderson applies digitally manipulated found images to textiles, a method of illustrating “the ways in which representations of Black male figures are warped in contemporary culture and media,” according to Center Director Lisa Panzera.
