Voices of Poetry In honor of National Poetry Month, Poets House, 10 River Terrace, will present an afternoon of poetry on April 6, 2-3:30pm. The event features poets Antoinette Brim-Bell, Poet Laureate of Connecticut; Chard DeNiord, Poet Laureate of Vermont; Cornelius Eady, co-founder of Cave Canem; and Molly Peacock, former President of the Poetry Society of America. A donation of $15 is suggested.
Celebrating Persian Culture The Museum of Jewish Heritage will present a Spring Equinox Festival, a daylong celebration of Sephardic Persian culture on Sunday, March 24, beginning at 10am. The event will feature Persian music, food, and games, a performance by pianist and composer Tania Eshagoff-Friedburg, a screening of one of shadow puppeteer Hamid Rahmanian’s films, and the launch of the new podcast The Nightingale of Iran. “The New Antique Sale” will take place April 5-7 at Tribeca Gallery at Hal Bromm, 90 W Broadway.
