Woman, 76, Pushed to Ground by Purse Snatcher in Tribeca

Police are looking for a mugger who sent a 76-year-old woman tumbling to the sidewalk as he grabbed her purse outside 88 Leonard Street on New Years day. Police say the woman had just left a gym at 2 p.m. when the man snatched the bag from her shoulder, pushing her to the ground and then fleeing toward Church Street. The woman refused medical attention. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call NYPD Crimestoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
