Video Art & Experimental Film Festival 2013

Event Date(s): February 7-9, 2013

Videoart.net is pleased to announce the third annual Video Art & Experimental Film Festival (VAEFF 2013), which will take place February 7-9, 2013 at the iconic Tribeca Cinemas in New York City.

The three-day festival aims to introduce New York audiences to the most arresting, provocative and conceptually challenging works in time-based media today. Drawing from hundreds of submissions, the festival will feature a diverse array of films by video artists and experimental filmmakers from around the world, including the USA, Italy, Colombia, Iran and the UK. A panel discussion led by distinguished academics and industry professionals will follow the screenings, as well as a reception with the artists and panelists at the Tribeca Cinemas' elegant Varick Room bar.

VAEFF is focused on casting new light on video art and experimental film by bridging the avant-garde with the art and film establishment, positioning itself as a singular force in democratizing the relationship between artists, curators, institutions, and the public worldwide.
