If Tribeca hasn’t already achieved national repute as an enclave of the super rich and ultra privileged, it will soon.

“TriBeCa” will be a “sophisticated family drama” on NBC that “explores the inner lives of a group of families and the lengths they will go to ensure their children succeed, regardless of the cost,” according to Deadline. The show is inspired by the hit Korean series, “Sky Castle,” which centers on families in an exclusive Seoul suburb, and mothers who are desperate to get their children into the country’s best college.

“Sky Castle” predates the college admission scandal and “TriBeCa” will not deal with the scandal, according to Dateline, which said the Tribeca neighborhood was chosen because “the Upper East/West Sides of Manhattan have been done so often on TV.”

The drama will be written by “Supergirl” co-showrunners Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner.
