TALK: NYC's Criminal Justice System

A forum on the city's criminal justice center entitled “Towards a More Just NYC” will take place next week. The event is one in a series of discussions on incarceration, the future of jails, and the role that communities can play in making the city’s criminal justice system more humane and just.

Speakers include representatives from the Harlem Community Justice Center; Greenhope Services for Women; Bowery Residents’ Committee; and The West Side Commons. 

The forum is being hosted by BMCC and The Independent Commission on NYC Criminal Justice and Incarceration. chaired by former Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman.
