Reenactment of Washington’s Farewell to his Officers

The annual reenactment of Washington’s emotional farewell to his officers at Fraunces Tavern Museum on December 4, 1783 will take place at on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to  5 p.m.

 

This year, actor Ian Kahn, who portrayed George Washington on the AMC series "TURN: Washington’s Spies," will reenact the toast given by George Washington. Joining him will be Dan Shippey, a George Washington reenactor who served as an historical advisor for the show.

 

There will also be museum tours and family activities, including a colonial costume photo booth.
