A thief stole a purse, containing a camera and a $300 pair of sunglasses, from a Starbucks customer who had slung the bag on the back of her chair.

Dec. 21...11:15 p.m.
A customer at Suspenders left his jacket at the bar while he went outside to talk on the phone. While he was gone, a thief made off with his wallet.

Dec. 21...8:40 p.m.
A dispute between two cab drivers over a fare turned violent, when one of the drivers climbed out of his car and punched the other driver several times in the face.

Dec. 21...3:30 a.m.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly punched, and then tried to strangle, a 19-year-old man on the street.

Dec. 20...1:25 p.m.
A teenager snatched a $500 Michael Kors purse from a California tourist at Starbucks. The tourist had placed the bag behind her chair.

Dec. 19...5:14 p.m.
Police arrested a shoplifter, who had stolen dozens of pairs of gloves and other winter wear from a gift shop. When confronted, he unsuccessfully attempted to escape arrest by shoving a policewoman to the ground.

A thief stole a passport, iPhone, jewelry, knee brace and eyeglasses from a DoubleTree hotel room.
