Cortlandt St. between Broadway and Church
June 21, 1 a.m.

A man boarded a southbound E train at Port Authority and got off at Chambers Street. As he exited the station and began walking to the PATH station, he discovered that his wallet, which contained a foreign exchange card, bank cards and MetroCard, was not in his pocket. He told police that he did not fall asleep on the train and was not bumped or jostled.

250 South End Avenue
June 18, 3-4 p.m.

A man had parked his motorcycle and chained it to the sidewalk rail. When he returned an hour later, the 2008 blue Yamaha motorcycle, valued at $4,000, was gone.

Broad Street J/Z Station
June 18, 2:20-2:40 a.m.

A woman had left her bag on a bench and then boarded a J train, leaving the bag behind. When she realized she didn’t have the bag, she immediately returned to the station. But the bag, which contained an iPhone, $100, bank card, health insurance card, keys and a Massachusetts state ID, was gone.

52 Fulton St.
June 17, 1-1:20 a.m.

A woman was sleeping at a table at McDonalds with her iPhone in her hand. Suddenly, another woman snatched the phone from her hand and ran out. The victim chased the thief south on Cliff Street toward Water Street, which led to the thief punching her in the nose, causing bleeding. Surveillance video is available at the McDonalds. A McDonalds cashier who witnessed the incident said the thief comes by McDonalds often and she would be able to recognize her.

Franklin and Church
June 16, 11 p.m.

A woman parked her car and then went into a lounge. When she got back to the car, she realized that a laptop, swimwear, towels, sunglasses, sandals, a scarf and a wallet containing bank cards were missing from inside. The woman told police she locked her car and there are no broken windows or scratches on her car. Unauthorized charges had been made on one of the cards.

Church and Walker
June 15, 10:25 p.m.

A taxi picked up a woman from West 9th Street and Sixth Avenue and the driver allowed her to sit in the front because she said she had pain in her legs. The woman said she wanted to go to Brooklyn and repeatedly requested that the driver turn on random streets. Throughout the ride, the woman, who was wearing a large brown scarf, kept moving around. Suddenly, at Walker and Church streets, the woman jumped out of the cab and said, “I can’t pay.” The driver then realized that $300, bank cards, a driver’s license and a work permit card were missing from his backpack.

#2 Train, Park Place Station
June 13, 8 a.m.

A pair of thieves robbed a 20-year-old man. One stomped on his right foot while grabbing his cell phone and $400 Beats headphones from his hand, and the other snatched the $1,200 bracelet off his wrist.

57 Murray Street
June 12, 9 - 10 p.m.

While drinking and socializing at the bar Cricketers Arms, a man left his computer case, containing a MacBook Pro and reading glasses, at his feet. When he checked an hour later, the case was gone.

Battery Park
June 12, 6:15 p.m.

A woman placed her book bag on a park bench and walked away to take pictures. When she returned, the bag, which contained $1,700, bank cards and a Colombian driver’s license and ID, was gone.

Nassau and Spruce Streets
June 11, 8 p.m.

Two men were arrested after police found them riding Citi Bikes allegedly stolen from a Downtown rack.

Police arrested Keith Crawley, who they observed riding a Citi Bike on the sidewalk at Ninth Avenue and West 25th Street. Crawley claimed that he did not have a Citi Bike account and had borrowed the bike from someone in a park at 28th Street and Ninth Avenue. Upon further investigation, police discovered that the bike had been stolen from the Citi Bike station at Nassau and Spruce Streets.

Crawley, 46, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

In Brooklyn, police stopped Ray Powell, 40, who claimed that the bike he was using was last docked at the intersection of Broadway and Myrtle avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn. But police learned that it had also been taken from the same Downtown rack, at Nassau and Spruce.

The Kings County District Attorney’s office did not respond to a request for Powell's charges.

Capt. Mark Iocco, commanding officer of the 1st Precinct, told the Precinct Community Council last month that the number of Citi Bike thefts reported in the 1st Precinct rose from one last year to 27 (now 29) so far in 2015.

#5 Train - Wall Street Station
June 11, 6 p.m.

A man boarded a northbound #5 train at the Bowling Green station. While riding a northbound #5 train that he boarded at the Bowling Green station, a man felt himself being bumped and jostled numerous times. At the Wall Street station, he discovered that his $410 MetroNorth monthly pass/MetroCard was missing.

52 Stone Street
June 11, 5:30 p.m.

A woman placed her backpack on a chair at the Stone Street Tavern and went to use the bathroom. When she returned, the $900 Barney’s leather backpack, which contained a MacBook Pro and a hard drive, worth a total of $2,900, was gone.

Liberty and Church streets
June 6, 6 p.m.

While taking pictures with her family in Zuccotti Park, a woman left her handbag near the park’s statue. Upon retrieving the bag, she discovered that it was unzipped and her wallet, which contained bank cards and a driver learner’s permit, was missing.

Wall Street Station, #4 and 5 Trains
June 4, 5 p.m.

A visitor from Spain entered the train station, swiped his card and asked a woman, “Which way is uptown?” As the woman answered him, he felt someone bump into him and then he turned around, but didn’t see anyone. He then realized that his wallet, which he had last seen when he swiped his card, was gone. The wallet contained $350, bank cards and a driver’s license.

Fulton and Church streets
June 3, 4 p.m.

A woman hailed a cab at the corner of Broadway and Cortlandt streets. The woman got in the cab and got into the front seat. When the driver dropped off the woman at the corner of Church and Fulton, he discovered that his wallet, which he had left inside a bag on the center console, was gone. The wallet contained bank cards, $400, a Banana Republic credit card and a Social Security card. An unauthorized charge was made on one of the cards.

55 Broad St.
June 4, 2:45 p.m.

A woman was using her computer at Starbucks when someone took her $650 Ted Baker bag, which she had put on the floor next to her. The bag contained noise cancelling headphones valued at $300, house keys and a wallet holding bank cards, a Norwegian driver’s license and a $20 MetroCard.

#2 Train, Wall Street Station
June 2, 1 p.m.

A tourist from Brazil boarded the train at Clark Street in Brooklyn and placed her purse on the seat next to her. When the woman stood up to leave the train at Wall Street, she realized that the purse, which contained an iPhone, a Brazilian passport, a debit card and a work ID, was gone.

401 Canal St.
June 1, 12:30 p.m.

A pickpocket took a woman’s cell phone from her pocket. That evening, she received a phone call from a man who said he had her phone and asked her to meet him at Broadway and Chambers streets with $300 if she wanted it back.

Police arrested the alleged thief, Nelson Capellan, 24.

45 Broadway
May 30, 3 p.m.

A woman was about to pay for souvenirs at a store when she realized that her purse was unzipped and her wallet was missing. She told police that the last time she had used her wallet was to make a purchase at Wall Street and Broadway. She said she had put her wallet away and zipped her purse closed. The wallet contained three bank cards.

25 Bridge St.
May 29, 7:45 - 9:15 p.m.

A man left the White Horse Tavern, forgetting his backpack, containing his MacBook Pro, that he had placed on the floor in front of his seat. An hour later, he called the bar, spoke with the manager and returned to look for the backpack. The man, along with bar employees, searched the establishment but could not find the backpack.

West, across from and Harrison Street
May 29, 6:30 p.m.

A man locked his backpack to the gate while he played basketball at the Hudson River Park basketball court. When he returned and looked inside the backpack, he discovered that his phone and wallet, containing several bank cards, a Visa gift card and an unlimited MetroCard, had been stolen. Unauthorized charges had been made on the bank cards.

Church and Broadway
May 29, 10:46 a.m.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested after police spotted him riding a stolen Citi Bike, which had originally been docked at West 59th Street.

125 Cedar Street
May 28, 2:20 p.m.

A man left his Citi Bike on the sidewalk while he made a delivery. When he returned five minutes later, the bicycle was gone.

Citi Tower, 388 Greenwich St.
May 27, 8 p.m.

A man left his motorized bicycle unlocked while making a delivery. When he returned, the bicycle, valued at $1,420, was gone.

Battery Park
May 27, 3 p.m. - May 28, 1:10 a.m.

A man was arrested after he reportedly stole a bicycle from Chambers and West streets and rode it to Battery Park, where he remained unlawfully after closing time. The alleged thief, Corey Cooke, 37, reported that he took the Citi Bike from the docking station, that the bike wasn't in the dock but was sitting next to it, and that he did not have a receipt for the bike, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Cooke was charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and trespassing in a New York City park.
