POLICE BEAT: $4K in Stolen Jeans from Urban Outfitters

March 28, 11 a.m.
Four men stole a supply of jeans, worth a total of $3,920, and a backpack, worth $178, from Urban Outfitters. A woman acted as a look-out while the men bagged the items, police said. Security tags were still attached to the items, and alarms sounded as the men left. Police were reviewing surveillance video from cameras inside the store.

March 29, 1 a.m.
A 24-year-old man was punched in the right eye by an acquaintance of a friend as they were standing outside the Killarney Rose Bar. The victim, who was taken to the hospital, will require surgery for a fractured orbital bone.
2 West Street
March 27, 10:20 a.m.
A 29-year-old woman told police that she left her Dell laptop and purse under her chair in a Ritz Carlton conference room. When she returned 20 minutes later, she discovered that her laptop, valued at $1,200, was missing and her wallet was taken from her purse. The wallet contained credit cards, a debit card and a driver’s license.

March 20, 4 p.m.
Someone swiped a student’s wallet from her back pocket inside a classroom at Borough of Manhattan Community College. When she left the classroom 50 minutes later, she discovered that the wallet was missing and that her debit card had been used. A BMCC school safety officer found the wallet inside another campus building at 70 Murray Street and returned it to the woman.
100 Maiden Lane
March 21, 7 p.m.
A man left his iPhone, with his debit card inside the phone’s case, at Chipotle. When he realized that he did not have his phone, he used an application that tracked it to an address in the Bronx. The victim called his phone and a man, who identified himself as Jay, offered to meet up and sell the phone back. It is unknown whether the meet-up occurred. Unauthorized charges totaling $6.29 were made on the debit card.

March 24, 7:30 p.m.
A 25-year-old woman left her $5,500 Rolex watch in a cup holder after a workout at an Equinox gym. When she returned an hour later, the Rolex, engraved with the words, “Love, Mom and Dad,” was gone.
