In Lieu of a Recital, a Downtown Dance Factory Production of a Different Sort

With some 1,000 students, Downtown Dance Factory continued its classes on Zoom, but now has to skip its annual big recital, which would have taken place this weekend. “So our Artistic Director Hanne Larsen repurposed the choreography [for the finale] to create this video [see below] with some of our talented 10-13 year old dancers, expressing their dream to get back to the studio soon,”  Downtown Dance Factory co-founder Melanie Zrihen said in an email. “It's kind of an uplifting and hopeful clip from our community's tweens!” And worth a look.
