FOR KIDS: Celebrate Qing Ming and Welcome Spring!

Work by children from last year's celebration of Qing Ming at the Museum of Chinese in America

Qing Ming is a day for remembering the past. In Chinese culture, families go to the grave sites of their ancestors and honor them by hosting elaborate picnics. In honor of Qing Ming, children at this Museum of Chinese in America will mold clay people, tea eggs, drum sticks, oranges, almond cookies, and more to create a Qing Ming picnic scene, as well as celebrate the beginnings of spring by making seasonal paper crafts.

Free with museum admission. Regular admission is $10; admission for seniors, students, and children 2 and up is $5.
