John Street Shop Worker Assaulted During Robbery: NYPD

Feb. 24, 2022 Police are looking for three people who they say were involved in an assault and robbery at a John Street smoke shop on Feb. 16.
Two men and a woman entered the NYC Smoke Shop & Vape Shop around 11:35 p.m., demanded merchandise and refused to pay, according to police. Closed circuit video provided by the NYPD shows two of the people shoving counter items, including a computer monitor, at the 28-year-old male worker before fleeing. The trio got away with eight packs of cigarettes worth $120, according to police. The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in stable condition.
