This homeless parrot couldn't have found a better place to land: The eighth-floor window ledge of P.S./I.S. 276 in Battery Park City. His (her?) stay would be brief—he was adopted by a Tribeca family two weeks later—but during that time his presence would fill classrooms, from kindergarten to 8th grade, with fun and fascination.
