Chinese Lunar New Year Family Festival - Old Seaport Alliance Benefit

A day-long Chinese New Year celebration to benefit the Old Seaport Alliance, a non-profit neighborhood association founded in the wake of Hurricane Sandy by the businesses within the historic South Street Seaport neighborhood.

ALL DAY: Ice Skating (The Seaport Ice Rink)

Specials and discounts at participating Old Seaport restaurants and businesses.

10 a.m.-12 p.m. - FiDi Families presents children’s activities led by Language Beans at 4 Fulton Street (the Seaport community cube/next to the ice rink)

• Mandarin songs sing-along

• Chinese craft stations

• Chinese New Year props display

• Giveaways and gifts

• Ages 3 – 8 years old

​Noon - Follow the lion dancers from the cube across Front Street to Peck Slip.

Noon - Showing of “Kung Fu Panda” movie at the Fulton Stall Market.

2 p.m. - Shaolin Kung Fu demonstration and kids Kung Fu lesson by the USA Shaolin Temple Demo Team at the community cube.

3 p.m. - “A Little Mandarin” mini-concert at the community cube.
