Art Students' Work at Shirley Fiterman Gallery

"Self Portrait" by Mark Saldana

Through May 8. The Borough of Manhattan Community College will present an exhibition of student artwork with an opening reception on Wednesday, April 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Shirley Fiterman Art Center, 81 Barclay St. The exhibition will feature paintings, photography, drawings, sculpture, graphic design and other types of work.

The students are enrolled in one of BMCC's two Associate of Arts degree programs—Art Foundations: Art History and Art Foundations: Studio Art—that were begun in 2015. Many of the graduates transfer to Queens College, CUNY and other top art and design schools.
