50-Story Tower Will Go Up Next to Hospital
A 50-story residential tower, to be designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, is planned for the parking lot of NYU Downtown Hospital. The lower floors are expected to house retail stores and a 10,000-square-foot outpatient center for the hospital. Other floors may be the new home for Pace University's business school and student dorms.

Kyle Wittels boasts an admirable stewardship of his co-op at 35 White Street. But in a special election last month, after only three months of service, Wittels' neighbors dumped him for the previous president and he claims to know why. Lamont Williams' Youth Service Honored
"I kind of think of Lamont as pre-Tribeca. There's the Odeon, Washington Market Park, and him," declared Oz Hanley, a grateful parent and one of more than 90 people who gathered on March 27 at the Manhattan Youth Community Center to honor 28-year-old Lamont Williams' service to thousands of children in the organization's Downtown Basketball League and P.S. 234 after-school program.
