Festival Tickets Go On Sale

Tickets for Tribeca Film Festival screenings and panel discussions went on sale on April 14, but only to American Express cardholders (the financial company is a prime sponsor of the event). Beginning on April 22, all downtown residents will be able to buy tickets, at a 12 percent discount, and tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. on April 24.

Organizers of the festival, which takes place May 8-12, said that fliers with details about the discount ticket program will be posted in downtown neighborhoods before the April 22.

Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone (212-307-7171), and starting on April 24 at Ticketmaster outlets.

Film tickets cost $10, except for screenings of "About a Boy," which are $25 per ticket. Tickets to panels cost $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and breakfast and lunch events cost $35. Ticketmaster adds per-ticket and per-order service charges .

Full festival passes are also available for $1800 (screenings and parties) or $2500 (screenings, parties, panels and breakfast and lunch events).
