Festival Tickets Go On Sale
Tickets for Tribeca Film Festival screenings and panel discussions went
on sale on April 14, but only to American Express cardholders (the financial
company is a prime sponsor of the event). Beginning on April 22, all downtown
residents will be able to buy tickets, at a 12 percent discount, and tickets
will go on sale to the general public at 9 a.m. on April 24.
Organizers of the festival, which takes place May 8-12, said that fliers
with details about the discount ticket program will be posted in downtown
neighborhoods before the April 22.
Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com,
or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone (212-307-7171), and starting on
April 24 at Ticketmaster outlets.
Film tickets cost $10, except for screenings of "About a Boy,"
which are $25 per ticket. Tickets to panels cost $20 in advance, $25 at
the door, and breakfast and lunch events cost $35. Ticketmaster adds per-ticket
and per-order service charges .
Full festival passes are also available for $1800 (screenings and parties)
or $2500 (screenings, parties, panels and breakfast and lunch events).

Screenings will take place at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, 199
Chambers Street; Stuyvesant High School, 345 Chambers St.; the Tribeca
Grand, 2 Ave. of the Americas; the Tribeca Film Center, 375 Greenwich
St.; The Screening Room, 54 Varick St.; United Artists Cinemas, 102 North
End Ave.; and the Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University, 1 Pace
Plaza.
